Mr. Sheng Chen, also known as Josh Sheng Chen, is one of our co-founders. He has served as the co-chairperson of our Board since January 2024 and as interim CEO since April 2024. Mr. Chen served as the executive chairperson of the board from the company's inception until January 2024. Mr. Chen has been instrumental to the development and success of our business. Mr. Chen provides vision, overall management, and strategic decision-making relating to marketing, investment planning, and corporate development. Mr. Chen has more than 20 years’ experience in the internet infrastructure industry in China and started his entrepreneur career in 1990 when he was a sophomore at Tsinghua University. Mr. Chen founded our business in May 1996 and started the first carrier-neutral data center in China in July 1999. Mr. Chen currently also serves as a director of Cloud Tech Services Limited and Yipu Chain Network (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Chen received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University in 1991. Mr. Chen is a member of the Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club and a managing director of the Internet Society of China.
Mr. Qiyu Wang has served as our chief financial officer since July 2023. He served as our vice president of finance since April 2022. Prior to joining us, Mr. Wang had over 20 years’ experience in the Chinese telecommunications industry, in charge of business operations, financial management and capital operations. From 2016 to 2021, Mr. Wang served as a vice president of China Telecom Global Limited, overseeing strategic business development and mergers and acquisitions. From 2010 to 2016, he served as the chief financial officer of China Communications Services International Limited. Prior to that, he served as the finance manager at the headquarters of China Telecommunications Corporation Limited. Mr. Wang received his EMBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Kun Yan joined VNET in January 2021 and currently serves as Executive Vice President. He is responsible for building the data center business platform system and enhancing its capabilities, covering data center product research, design, engineering management, cost and supply chain, as well as operation and maintenance assurance. In this role, he leads the creation of market-competitive data center products. With over 20 years of experience in the data center industry, Mr. Yan has played a key role in advancing the data center business development for leading internet companies such as Tencent and Alibaba. He possesses extensive and comprehensive expertise in the full lifecycle management of data centers, including planning, R&D, design, construction, and operation. His deep understanding encompasses the IDC industry ecosystem, market dynamics, resource demand-supply models, cost structures, and operational mechanisms. Mr. Yan holds a bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University.
Mr. Wen Teng joined VNET in May 2024 and currently serves as our senior vice president and chief executive officer of Blue Cloud. Prior to joining us, Mr. Teng was the president of Greater China at Veritas. From 2010 to 2021 he worked for Microsoft China, as vice president of Greater China and general manager of the public sector, leveraging over 30 years of technical expertise and deep understanding of both China and international markets to drive Microsoft’s business development among government, healthcare, education, and large state-owned enterprises. Before joining Microsoft, Mr. Teng worked for large information technology, software, and network infrastructure companies such as Sun Microsystem, Nortel Networks, Lucent, AT&T and SIEMENS. Mr. Teng received his master’s degree in telecommunications science from the University of Colorado.
Mr. Xiaomang Li joined VNET in July 2025 and currently serves as senior vice president of VNET Group and chief executive officer of DYXnet. Mr. Li is a seasoned technology industry leader with a global perspective and strong local execution capabilities, bringing over 30 years of executive experience in multinational technology corporations. Prior to joining VNET, Mr. Li served as Head of Strategic Business Development for AWS China, where he spearheaded partner ecosystem transformation and drove commercial growth, demonstrating rich experience in digital ecosystem development, cutting-edge technology commercialization, and organizational strategic transformation. Prior to AWS, Mr. Li held key leadership roles, including Business Development and Industry Market Director at Microsoft China, Senior Sales Director of VMware China and Client Director for the Financial Services Division at IBM. Mr. Li received his bachelor’s degree in image transmission and processing from Xidian University. He also completed executive leadership programs at McMaster University and Harvard University.
